1. Your Legal Right to Cancel (Distance Sales)
If you purchase goods from Built For You online, by phone, or off-site, you have a legal right to cancel your order within 14 calendar days without giving any reason.
- The 14-day period starts the day after the goods are delivered to you or delivered to Neath Vale Workshops if the goods are being delivered there on your behalf.
- If your order includes multiple items delivered separately, the 14-day period starts from the day the last item is delivered.
2. How to Cancel
To cancel your order, you must notify us within the 14-day period by email:

- Your name
- Order number
- Date of delivery
- A clear statement that you wish to cancel your order
3. Returning Goods
- Once you have notified us of cancellation, goods must be returned within 14 days.
- Items must be unused, unassembled, and in their original packaging.
- You are responsible for the cost of returning goods, unless the item is faulty or incorrectly supplied.
For large or palletised items (such as sheds), collection can be arranged, and the cost of collection may be deducted from your refund.
4. Refunds
- Refunds will be issued within 14 days of:
- Receiving the returned goods, or
- Evidence that the goods have been sent back (whichever is sooner).
- Refunds will be made using the original payment method.
- Standard delivery charges will be refunded (up to the value of the least expensive standard delivery option).
5. Deductions for Handling
If goods have been handled beyond what is necessary to inspect them (for example, assembled or partially assembled sheds), we reserve the right to make a reasonable deduction from the refund to reflect any loss in value.
6. Faulty or Damaged Goods
If your goods are faulty, damaged, or not as described, please contact us immediately at sws@gmx.co.uk.
- In these cases, return or collection costs will be covered by Built For You.
- Your rights are protected under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
7. In-Store Purchases
For purchases made in person at Neath Vale Business Park, returns are not legally required unless the item is faulty or misdescribed.
However, we may offer an exchange or refund at our discretion — please contact us to discuss.
8. Exclusions
We cannot accept returns for:
- Items that have been fully or partially assembled
- Custom-ordered or bespoke items
- Items returned incomplete or damaged due to misuse
